This module introduces existing documents on criteria for legal aid quality asssessment, focusin on international framework documents on legal aid as well as the global situation on legal aid provision. Examining guiding criteria for legal aid quality assessment, the report focuses on two types of international guideline: one on criteria and indicators for legal aid quality assessment, and another on the development of quality criteria and indicators in the context of specific quality objectives. The report will also highlight select national-level examples applicable to the national context.
