Introduction to Comparative Government and Politics introduces students to approaches for the analysis of government institutions and political issues. It consists of four parts. The first focuses on the scope of the course and the analytical methods. The second focuses on democratic, non-democratic, and hybrid institutions. The third focuses on identities and identity politics. The fourth focuses on collective action and regime change, focusing on “everyday form” of resistance, protests, and revolution.
